Whatever your ability or experience this is a relaxed walking weekend in the stunning Lake District National Park.
Bored? Want to try a new activity? Want to learn more? Want to know how to read a map, use a compass or GPS? Want to attempt a charity event such as the 3Peaks Challenge, but don't know where to start? gr8trails 'all welcome' weekends are designed with you in mind.
The weekend starts with you settling in to your accommodation on the Friday evening, and whilst dining meet new friends with similar aims. Saturday starts with a good breakfast before heading into the surrounding Lake District National Park for your chosen walk, which will vary dependant on the aims of the group, prevailing weather conditions etc.
After a full day in the gr8 outdoors you return to your accommodation to a nice warm shower, change of clothes and evening dinner. The evening is spent sharing your gr8 experiences and introducing you to your second day of walking round the hills and valleys of the surrounding National Park. Walks will vary dependant on the aims of the group.

For 2013 we are very conscious of peoples budgets and hence we are proposing to run this weekend from the newly renovated Ambleside Waterhead Youth Hostel, within a short stroll of the village of Ambleside.
These weekends are designed to appeal to everyone. For that reason kit requirements are kept to the minimum. So, for all the above activities we recommend all clients come prepared with the appropriate clothing for the gr8 outdoors and their activities, noting we can guarantee a good time but not the vagaries of the great British weather! We have a recommended kit list on our website and this will be included in our confirmation letter to you.
Interested? please call or drop us a line at info@gr8trails.co.uk
We recommend that all our guests join us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/gr8tails.co.uk), as it’s a good way to get to know each other before each event and to stay in touch afterwards.
